My 2018 "Pass-on-the Kindness" Challenge Part 2
It’s Women’s History Month! Hooray! And now some cold water to chill the celebration:
A look at recent numbers:
47 percent – 47 percent! – of the entire U.S. workforce is made up of Women like you and me.
And when it comes to working mothers, the numbers are equally staggering:
70 percent of mothers with children under 18 are working, with over 75 percent employed full time. Mothers are the primary or sole earners for 40 percent of households with children under 18 today, compared with 11 percent in 1960.
This week's "Pass-on-the-Kindness" challenge asks you, me -- all of us women and men – to focus building camaraderie amongst ourselves so we can climb together, especially in the workplace.
Here’s what all of that means to us: We all know a woman in our social circle or at work whom we click with but the best person to extend a smile and friendship to is the person in your work circle whom you may feel friction. Your smile, friendship and helping others prosper is an act of kindness.
These exercises can be done year-round; whenever you’re ready. Always feel free to Journal your progress.
